Monroe Street Theater Dance Center, commonly referred to as M.S.T. Dance Center, was established in 2014 by the Hubbs family. Georgia and Tanner Hetke purchased the business assets in 2023 and rebranded, using the beloved acronym, to MST Dance Center.
MST remains a Christ-based dance studio, where dance is taught as a form of self-expression and strives to create a loving and safe environment for all dancers. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, Michigan, we are very thankful for our beautiful 4,000 sq. foot facility that currently provides two studios for classes.
At MST Dance Center, we strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for dancers of all ages and skill levels. We believe that dance is not just about learning steps, but about self-expression, creativity, and personal growth. Our mission is to help our dancers explore their passion for dance, discover & develop their abilities, grow confidence in themselves, build friendships that go beyond our studio walls, and foster a love of the arts that will last a lifetime. Our instructors are passionate about serving our community of dancers through fresh, new approaches to teaching by creating unique, authentic routines and instilling great technical training.

Artistic Director & Owner
Georgia Hetke is the Artistic Director and Owner of MST Dance Center. After accepting the Artistic Directorship of M.S.T. Dance Center in March of 2022, Georgia purchased MST Dance Center in December of 2022 from previous owners Ralph and Marica Hubbs. Georgia is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. While attending Jackson College and Michigan State University, Georgia worked alongside previous artistic director, Mary Hubbs, as a choreographer, an instructor, and eventually ballet director at M.S.T. Dance Center. Georgia treasured the mission and vision the Hubb’s created at M.S.T.D.C. and strives to continue this purpose.
Georgia began dancing at the age of four at Academy of the Arts (AOTA) in Spring Arbor, Michigan with pre-professional training at AOTA under Lori Ladwig, Linnea Strauss, Kate Price, and Erin Miller and Greater Lansing Ballet Company under Barbara Banasikowski Smith. After high school graduation, Georgia continued her dance education at Ballet 5:8 as part of the Trainee Program, completing two years of professional Vaganova method training. Her entire training includes Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, and Tap. Georgia also has experience in Acro and Modern. Georgia continues her business and dance education through dance and studio owner conventions and workshops.
Georgia resides in the Jackson area with her husband - Tanner, and two dogs - Brutus and Ragnar. In October of 2023 Georgia and Tanner found out they were expecting their first baby! On May 16th, 2024, their beautiful baby boy, Asher Kane Hetke, was born sleeping. While Baby Asher is not with them earthside, they look forward to a precious reunion heaven side one day. In the meantime, Georgia continues to be passionate about teaching up and coming generations of dancers, creating and presenting stories through dance, and sharing the art of dance with the community.
Georgia is thankful for wonderful instructors and studio staff, talented dancers, and loyal families that make up MST Dance Center. Most of all she is thankful for the opportunity to serve Christ through the ministry of dance. Psalms 149
